It’s that time again, when the nation all comes together in support of our mighty All Blacks as they defend their crown at the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Our legendary national team are, of course, known the world over—even in countries not traditionally associated with rugby. Such transcendence stems from stats such as their near-90 percent win record in test matches, including being the only international men’s team to boast a win over every other opponent. Those black-clad heroes of this wee nation have held the number one spot in the World Rugby Rankings not just longer than anyone else, but longer that everyone else combined, since the list’s 2003 inception. On top of that they share the record for most consecutive test wins (with England), have been named World Rugby Team of the Year ten times, and won the actual World Cup three times—more than any other country. Here’s hoping they make it four this year!
So, in honour our wonderful All Black ambassadors and the crazy month or so of sport ahead, the good sports at Rebel Sport are offering some crazy deals on a range of rugby related gear and more.
The fabled all black jersey adorned with the silver fern made its debut way back in 1905, and you can get your hands on an up to date replica and heaps of other All Black merchandise such as beanies and Adidas training tops, hoodies, sweaters, jackets and shorts with 15 percent off. The Maori graphic Adidas polo tee has even more off, a steal at $59, and we’re loving the adorable Adidas infant range too.
Should all this rugby inspire you to get training, check out the awesome Nike sale, with discounts on an enormous collection of clothing for all the family as well as sporting accessories and equipment such as shin and mouth guards, duffel bags, balls and bottles. There’s an equally generous discount on a massive range of Puma and Oakley stuff as well.
Prices have also been slashed on swimming and boxing gear along with sunglasses, baseball caps and heaps of Icebreaker’s exquisite merino offerings.
Don’t forget to sign up online to be in the draw to win $500, and while in store make sure to buy a red nose for you and/your car to help raise funds toward medical research for kids across Aotearoa.
From everyone here at The Boundary, go the All Blacks!
